I’ve got you covered
So go ahead and sleep tonight
I’m not like the others
I swear you’ll be just fine
Don’t let ’em get to you, baby,
Just shake off all your fear
‘Cause I’ve got you covered
Forever starts right here

– Sugar & The Hi Lows

Hannah & Andrew’s wedding started in Treorchy with Andrew and  his parents at their home where his family shared a prayer together and Andrew and his best man sang and played piano. I then went up the road to see Hannah at her Bridesmaid’s home where she and her friends and family were getting ready. The wedding ceremony was at St.Matthew’s Church in Treorchy and after this we moved on to The Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay. It’s a gorgeous venue with lovely light in a stunning location.
One of the wedding favour gifts Hannah & Andrew gave their guests was a few tokens for the fair ground in Cardiff Bay which I thought was such a wonderful idea. Hannah & Andrew and guests got to ride the Merry-go-round and roller coaster. It was SO much fun and such a different and cool idea for wedding entertainment. This was followed by a  ‘playlist disco’ with one of my favourite first dance songs ever by Sugar & The Hi Lows – I’ve got you covered. There’s a Youtube link at the bottom of the page. We hadn’t had time at any other point of the day for portraits of Hannah &  Andrew so we crept out for little while to capture some portraits of the two of them around Cardiff Bay at night.  Cardiff Bay is the geek home of Dr.Who & Torchwood and has the stunning architecture of The Millenium Centre, The Wales Assembly Senned Building and The Pierhead Building. The glass sculpture by Danny Lane outside the Wales Assembly is entitled ‘Assembly Field’. I had walked passed it often and was really excited to be able to use it Hannah & Andrew’s wedding portraits. I loved the light as it shone through the glass with Hannah & Andrew standing in front.  It was a challenge to shoot in the dark with both added and the available light that Cardiff bay had to offer and a bit of a change from the gentle dusk light I am often blessed with. I loved shooting there and Hannah & Andrew we lovely to work with.
