When I first met Lisa & Craig on a dark January afternoon in Cardiff I immediately loved the sound of their planned ‘Vintage Glam’ Bryngarw House Wedding near Bridgend. We hit it off immediately and I was so pleased when they let me know they wanted to book an engagement shoot as well. Lisa & Craig decided that they would like it to be at Roath Park in Cardiff, somewhere that is very close to their hearts. Having never been there before I popped along with my family a couple of weeks beforehand to work out where everything was and totally fell in love with the place. We finally met up on a gorgeous sunny afternoon in spring. It was lovely getting to know Lisa & Craig a bit better and to find out more about them, whilst at the same time taking some photographs of them both in such a gorgeous location. They then got to choose one of their images to put in a signing frame for their guests to sign on their wedding day.

In complete contrast to their engagement shoot, the weather on Lisa & Craig’s wedding day was bouncing back and forth between drizzle and rain. Considering their wedding was mid-July it was a bit unexpected! However my view is that the day can be just as beautiful and wonderful whatever the weather and so we were not about to be phased by it! The formals were taken in the main room and Bryngarw House was wonderful and let us throw confetti inside as well. We managed to get outside for a few photographs of Lisa & Craig mid-afternoon as well which was lovely. The day was styled by Lisa herself who runs an event planning & wedding decor styling business. She has a wonderful eye for details and everything was immaculate.  A lovely mix of vintage and glamorous romantic sparkle.  You can find a complete supplier list at the end of the page.
Bryngarw House are such a welcoming and friendly venue. It’s a lovely house with stunning grounds and well worth a visit if you are looking for wedding locations near Bridgend.
