During the summer I was blessed to photograph Laura & Nick’s rustic wedding at Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol and Yatton Rugby Club. I am doubly blessed that the wedding was featured by ‘Rock & Roll Bride’ a short while later.

The wedding day itself was beautiful. Laura got ready at home with friends and family around her and then then moved on to the wedding ceremony at Arnos Vale Cemetery. Being an old Victorian Cemetery, you might think it would be a depressing place to get married but it is beautiful. It is just the right amount of overgrown to feel magical and very peaceful. Even better because there is a choice of venues to suite summer, winter, rain or shine. Laura’s blush pink contemporary dress with a mix of really beautiful flowers really worked well with the natural backdrop of the cemetery too.

The reception was at Yatton Rugby club, which is where Nick grew up playing rugby. It’s an ideal venue for a wedding reception and made really beautiful by Laura and her attention to detail. With a ‘Great Wedding Bake-off’ all of the cakes were made by friends and family and the wedding cake was made by Nick’s Aunt.

Thank you so much to Laura & Nick for booking me to shoot your wedding at Arnos Vale Cemetery & to ‘Rock & Roll Bride’ for featuring me.
